How to Handle Gift-Giving During the Holidays

By Jamie Berger, Esq.

As exciting as the holidays are for children, they can be stressful for adults, particularly when going through a divorce. When it comes to gift-giving, Jamie has some tips to share that will keeps things on an even playing field and keep the excitement in the holiday. Watch now, Just Because.

Thank you guys for tuning in again. This week I want to talk about the holidays. It can be a stressful time of the year, no matter what, buying gifts, parties, all of that, and start an already busy plate. But one of the things that you may want to consider especially if you are going through a divorce or separated you might want to think about how to best buy gifts for you kids because you do not want to take the excitement of the holidays away even though this is a very stressful time for you and your family. So one of the things that I have recommended to clients is coming up with a shared toy list or gift list that you can share. Amazon has an option, there are other options available, but it is an opportunity, so parents do not feel like they need to compete in buying gifts for the kids, and the kids can really get what they want during the holidays. So, please take that into account and tune in next week. Thanks so much.
