Back to School Time and Divorce

By Jamie Berger, Esq.

When beginning the process of divorce, it is imperative that you include language in your settlement agreements to preserve the status quo related to your children. In this video, Jamie explains how to navigate back to school time while going through a divorce. Watch now – just because.

Thank you for tuning in for another episode of Just Because. I don´t know about any of you, but the summer has gone way too fast. As a busy working mom, I have seen the summer fly by in a way that I can not even explain to you. But now, I´m in back to school mode as I´m sure most of you parents are also. So, one of the things that I think about is how to navigate that back to school time and scheduling when you are going through a divorce. It´s really important that you think about the kid´s school schedule. Whether there are competing priorities for you as parents and the kids and you make sure that you are working together to try to navigate those issues. If you are drafting a marital settlement agreement or in the process of settling out your divorce. It´s important that you think about those issues and how to best schedule the time for the kids to make sure that each parent has time with the kids, and that the kids´ activities and schedule is preserved. Tune in next time and let us know how we can help.
