Back to School – Get to Know the Teachers

By Jamie Berger, Esq.

Heading back to school for your child isn’t always easy. Transitioning to a new teacher and a classroom full of new students can be stressful, especially if you are a child whose parents are in the process of or have recently been separated or divorced. In this episode, Jamie speaks about the importance of meeting your child’s teacher as well as other helpful tips to make the school year a successful one for your child or children.

Thank you all for tuning in again for another episode of just because. I want to talk to you back to school because I know at least for me this is a really stressful time. Transitioning the kids to new teachers, getting them back in the swing of thing after those long summer nights is never easy, and I´m sure as busy working professionals you guys are experiencing the same thing. So, I wanted to talk about the importance of making sure that you carve out time in your very busy schedule to meet with the kids´ teachers. Let them know what´s going on; especially if you are in the process of going through a divorce because it´s really important that those teachers know about any life transitions that your family is going through. They can be a help for your children, a support system so that your children have an outlet when they are in school to talk about these difficult issues. Please don´t hesitate to reach out to those teachers and make sure that back to school is a wonderful experience for your kids. Tune in next time. Thanks.
